Does anyone here work for the DWP? How long did it take you to get into the role?
I applied for a AO role in Feb, went did the tests, passed and made it to interview and received a letter telling me i was successful in April, apart from a request to fill in a form for a CRB check, i have heard nothing offically from them.
When i ring up, i am fobbed off with excuses, blaming the business area for not getting back to them.
Waffling aside, anybody else waiting to start?

There was this book I read when I was younger. I think it had a white cover with a girl's face on it?
It was set in a world where people had degenerated into tribes: when a child was born, it had a one sylable name, then as it got older got syllable's added until he or she had a complete name. If a person got sick or was deformed, they put them in a graveyard where they were expected to die or be eaten by monsters, but as it turns out they were collected and lived in their own special village.
The girl had clubbed feet, so the only job she could do was collect thread from the floors and sew blankets with pictures on them; the elders of her tribe told her to make a blanket out of a rare blue dye.
Through a sequence of events she met her thought-dead father out in the disabled people village.

The Onion AV Club sat down with Fraser to talk CGI and the new Journey To The Center Of The Earth and shizz:
AVC: You seem really, really geeked about this film.
BF: Totally.
AVC: Do you get this excited about less technically focused movies, about dramas like Passion Of Darkly Noon or Gods And Monsters?
BF: I try to. This one got my motor running because it hadn't ever been done before. But as a work in progress, yeah, I'd like to know as much as I can about the material. With Gods And Monsters, c'mon, it's Ian McKellen! I used to watch him in the library on Betamax tapes, acting Shakespeare, he's a hero of mine. I couldn't believe I met him, I worked with him. He's a sweetheart, he sends cheeky e-mails at Christmastime, and he's a funny, wonderful guy. And on top of that, he's knighted. And he's brilliant on top of it. [Pauses.] You actually saw Darkly Noon? Wow. You're looking me in the eyes and you're laughing, my goodness. That picture was my trip up the river. [Laughs.]

Christina Aguilera Visits Studio City’s Studio
Christina Aguilera leaves a studio in Studio City, Calif. on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old singer recently talked about how her feet increased by two sizes while she was pregnant!
Christina recounted, “My stomach was really where I carried my weight. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I felt really big - I gained about 40lbs, which is a lot for my size. My hips also changed significantly. And my feet grew from a size five-and-a-half to a size seven in flats!”
“Thank God my feet went back to normal. I would have been so depressed if I had to get rid of my shoe collection!”, she continued.

Overall rating: This book made me cry so much and I still hate Jacob.

so i just got my second tattoo finished the other week and just found this community so i figured, why not share?
it was done in stigmata-tau in dublin, ireland.
it's a golden finch that was done in three sittings for some reason with lyrics from a band called 'the manchester orchestra' encorporated.
