3:48p we're a little teapot My 2.5yo son loves to play-act serving tea to his toys. My husband and his family are English so a lot of tea drinking goes on :) I'm on the lookout for a toy tea set that isn't overtly pink or Disney Princess. I don't mind buying him a girls' set but if there's something more gender neutral I'd rather get that first. I live in a small regional australian town so online is better. current mood: chipper

6:44p Hitting. I need help curbing my 3 year old's hitting. He hits me, he hits himself, he hits toys. Previous to turning 3 I ignored the behavior. It continued. Now he gets an immediate time out, but since he keeeeeeps doing it- Im thinking that the time outs arent very effective, either. What else can I do?

5:38p Swine Flu part 2 So I ended up taking my son to his pediatrician this morning because he spike a really high fever (102.4). He definitely has swine flu. I tried giving him some TamiFlu this afternoon after he had drank some milk. I got 1/2 the dose in him and he vomitted up all his milk and then some. I managed to get the second 1/2 of the dose in and he kept it down. I know nausea/vomiting is one of the side effects, but for those of you that had to give it to your little ones, how did you get it down and have it stay down? Should I try it on an empty stomach? current mood: blah

2:37p cough My daughter (5) has had a cough for almost two weeks now. It's unproductive and dry. She has had no fever whatsoever. My mom thinks it's just a little cold bug that's been going around, as she knows several people who have had it and the cough lingers and lingers. I don't know, though. I'm tempted to take her to the Ped. just in case, but with the flu going around I don't want to go in unless it's absolutely necessary. What would you do?

1:19p Tall Womens Clothing Question Hi all, Christmas is coming up (only, what, 5 weeks away or something? blah) and so I am attempting to get some of my shopping done before the 24th of December... one of the things I am looking for, however, is a women's plush-y bath robe, in a TALL size. I have no idea where the best place to go about looking for it is. Ideally, it would be super-soft (maybe like all those baby toys and blankets? or the softest possible at any rate), because, well, who wouldn't want a super-soft robe? Any help anyone can give in this area would be appreciated. Local stores, internet stores, all suggestions are welcome.
