Thank you for making 7th July the best day ever (well one of them).

Thank you for making it so amazing and special for me in particular!

Every ounce of tiredness and pain, after having spent almost 24 hours on the street outside the venue camping out to make sure I got to the front, just melted away the second you walked on stage. You looked amazing. You sounded amazing. Just stunning.

Best of all, though, is that you got my frog. I know you got loads but I am hoping you'll remember mine as you held him in your arms, close to your chest, through the whole of Jason's beautiful piano intro to Family Portrait. You made my show by doing that.

I'm not sure when I'll be seeing you again as I am pregnant (and also due in December, same as Adriana!!) so it really was amazing to know that you got my gift for you this time round.

You're amazing. Never stop doing what you do.

It's the little things in life that make me happy ... New series of Ghost Whisperer starts tonight and new series of Dexter starts on Sunday. Woo Hoo!

HAIR

OK, so I am planning to cut off a substantial amount of hair this weekend but am totally stuck as to what would suit me. I know the hairdresser will be able to advise but I just wanted to go in with some vague idea of what I might want. I know that I don't want to take it any shorter than chin length at the shortest as I am overweight and wouldn't feel comfortable with it being any shorter (even though my favourite hair style ever is super short).

I also want something that is edgy and unusual without being too over the top. Colour wise it will be an all over fairly bright, but dark, red.

My hair is currently about bra strap length.

I am thinking something along the lines of P!nk's hair in part of the U&Ur Hand video but, sadly, the best photo I have doesn't show it off to it's best. Incidentally, the colour will be similar to this.

This shows it a bit better but the quality isn't great to show a hairdresser.

I keep having a reocurring dream about P!nk (no budgie_uk .. not those ones). So, I've spent hours queuing for her gig in Cork and finally we're let through the doors at the venue and it's, as expected, a complete bum rush to try to get to the front. We're all racing to try and get to the barrier only to come up against another set of doors where staff hold us for a futher ten minutes. Eventually they open these doors to reveal a huge outdoor stadium of Wembley proportions. They've let us in right at the back. Cue a further massive rush as we all run across the entire stadium to get to the barrier. When we finally get there, the barrier is not the usual chest high metal barrier. Instead it's a 10ft tall climbing wall and the only way to see P!nk and watch the show is to climb it and hang on for the duration of the show!

Most odd! My guess is that the deep meaning is something like my fear of not being close to her or the likes.

This time in 2 weeks I will be in Cork.

This time in 2 weeks I will have already been queuing for almost 16 hours.

This time (plus around 4 hours) in 2 weeks I will see the love of my life again.

This time (plus around 6 hours) I will be devastated as it will all be over.

I can't wait to look into these eyes again - has been too long (10 months)

Roller Derby - skater name

OK, so when I get back from Egypt I am planning on joining the London Roller Girls roller derby team. In advance of that, I am trying to come up with a cool skater name for myself!

From what I can see, most skaters either have something that is a mix between something cute and viscious (e.g. Kitty DeCapitate), something that is a play on words with an evil edge (e.g. Hell O'Kitty) or a famous person's name with a twist (e.g. Missyle Elliot).

Give me your best ideas! A prize to someone who can think of one that is somehow related to P!nk or her real name Alecia Moore (can't be Miss Underztood as that's taken - I already checked)

Well, the last few weeks have been great. I had a blast with my friend Liz here from LA, but I miss her terribly. Still, only have to wait until the end of July to see her since she is meeting up with us in Vancouver :)

The Pinkspage meet-up was cool but appalingly attended with only 4 people there apart from me :( We still had fun, though.

It was my friend Ross' 30th birthday on the same night, at the same venue, so I was running between P!nk fans and true metallers.

Last night Mark and I went to the O2 arena to see WWE Smackdown as his staff from the bar had bought us tickets as a wedding present. It was ok. We had crap seats (back row of the top tier)and my two favourite wrestlers didn't even wrestle .. but it was the thought that counted so we enjoyed it nonetheless. On a plus note, we took the Thames Clipper from the London Eye to O2 which was amazing!

The best news of all, however, is that P!nk announced she is playing on 7th July in Cork (how random?!?!) Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow and my flights/hotel are already booked :) I couldn't be any more excited if I tried!

Oh, and Egypt in 10 days :)

burning to DVD

Please could someone help me before I throw my PC out the window.

I am trying to burn a file onto a blank DVD-R .. how in God's name do I do this?

My friend has told me that he has a DVD player that plays pretty much all file types including WMV, AVI, MPEG and DIVX. What is the easiest way to do this? It's just a short 4 minute piece of AV. At the moment it's a WMV file but I have the ability to convert to pretty much anything. I just can't get it to burn onto the DVD-R that I have.
